The Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater presented the play "Dede Gorgud" in Baku.
The Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater named after T. Abdumomunov presented the play "Dede Gorgud" in Baku. The play was performed on the stage of the Academic National Drama Theater.
The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Guests were greeted in both Kyrgyz and Azerbaijani.
Following the performance, which was met with great interest and applause, Haji Ismailov, Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan; Aktote Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation; Asylbek Isayev, Advisor to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan; Egemberdi Bekboliev, Artistic Director of the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater; Kairat Imanaliev, the play's author; and Mehriban Alakbarzade, Artistic Director of the Academic National Drama Theater, spoke about the significance of the event and the future development of cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan.
The National Academic Drama Theater of Kyrgyzstan was awarded the "National Theater" prize by the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater for its contribution to the development of Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz cultural ties. The performance of "Dede Gorgud," presented to Azerbaijani audiences, was awarded a Diploma from the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan.
The author of the work, Kairat Imanaliev, was awarded the Union Medal for "Theater Figure." Two theater actors, Atay Omurbekov (Old Gorgud) and Adil Bolorbek uulu (Young Gorgud), were awarded the Union Order of Honor.
