Anniversary of People's Artist Ella Yagubova
The 80th anniversary of People's Artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ella Yagubova and the 60th anniversary of her creative activity were celebrated at the Mingechevir State Drama Theater.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, art lovers and media representatives attended the event. A benefit performance "Mother's Cry" was performed on the occasion of Ella's anniversary.
The author of the performance, which was met with applause, is Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mammadhuseyn Aliyev, and its director is Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kalmykia Bahram Osmanov.
After the performance, Ella Yagubova was awarded the "Theatre Devotee" medal of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan.
The award was presented by the Chairman of the Union, People's Artist, State Prize laureate Haji Ismayilov.
