The IV Theater Forum of Youth of the CIS, Baltic Countries and Georgia
From November 30 to December 7, 2021, the IV Theater Forum of Youth of the CIS, Baltic Countries and Georgia, organized by the Confederation of International Theater Unions, was organized in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.
Azerbaijani youth took part in the forum at the initiative of the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan and with the support of the Ministry of Culture.
The plays of the Academic National Drama Theater Mangurt and Bir, iki, bizimki at the international forum were a great success and were greeted with applause.
Theater artists, playwrights, critics representing Azerbaijan took part in the educational program of the forum, master classes and an exhibition were organized.
The performance from Azerbaijan for participation in the forum was determined by an international group of experts two years ago. Thus, the participation of the performances "Mangurt" and "Bir, iki, Bizimki" of the Academic National Drama Theater, presented on the stage named after Abbas Mirza Sharifzadeh, was determined by the decision of experts who chose among the productions of young directors to participate in the festival.
Artistic director of the play Mangurt based on the novel by Chingiz Aitmatov A day as long as a century - Peoples Artist Azer Pasha Neymatov, director Izama Babayeva, artist Ilham Elkhanoglu, lighting designer Rafael Hasanov, assistant director Konul Karimova.
Honored artists Mehriban Khanlarova, Elshan Rustamov, actors Ramin Shikhaliev and Georgy Gafarov took part in the one-part performance-epic.
The play Bir, Iki, Bizimki was created based on the play of the same name by the popular writer Kamal Abdulla. Stage director - Alif Jahangirli, artist - Ilham Elkhanoglu, lighting designer - Rafael Hasanov, sound engineer - Kamil Ismailov, assistant director - Narmin Jamalova.
The artistic director of the performance is the artistic director of the Academic National Drama Theater, Peoples Artist Azer Pasha Neymatov. Honored artist Aishad Mammadov, actors Ilaha Hasanova, Ziya Agha, Khadija Novruzlu and Janali Janaliev performed the play.
