Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ganja State Drama Theatre and the State Theatre of Ozurgeti.
The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ganja State Drama Theatre and the Ozurgeti State Theatre was signed on 5 November, 2019 within the Memorandum on the development of cultural relations, signed on 14 November, 2018 between the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the Georgian Theatre Society.
The event, organized by the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, was opened by the Chairman of the Union, People’s Artist, professor Azer Pasha Nematov. A. Nematov noted the rise of performing arts in Azerbaijan in recent years as a result of state care, tours of our theatres, participation in major festivals, and strengthening of international relations: “Today the signing of a memorandum between the leading theatres of Azerbaijan and Georgia testifies to strengthening by our countries. I am sure that this document will soon show a positive result.”
Vasil Chigogidze, Artistic Director of the Ozurgeti State Theatre, noted the great interest in Azerbaijan to performing arts in Georgia, and expressed the hope that the Memorandum would serve the development of cultural links between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
General manager of the Ganja State Drama Theatre, Honored Worker of Culture Ali Gasimov said he was glad to see the State Theatre of Ozurgeti in Ganja and thanked the leaders of Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan for their constant attention and care.
In the end, the theatre leaders signed a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation.
