On November 7, 2019, organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Theater Workers of Azerbaijan, an event dedicated to the 650th anniversary of the famous Azerbaijani poet Imameddin Nasimi was held. The event was attended by theatrical figures, eminent creative personalities, students and media representatives.
The Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater Ilham Mammadov was awarded with a diploma and badge of honor for his contribution to the development of national theater art on the occasion of the 50th birthday.
On 5 April, 2019, in the framework of the Memorandum on the Development of Cultural Relations, signed by Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the Georgian Theatre Society, the performance “Medea vs. Euripides” of the Meskhetian State Drama Theatre of Georgia was presented on the stage of the Academic National Drama Theatre. The artistic director of the theatre is Lia Suluashvili.
On 15 February, 2019, the Union of Theatre Workers organized the premiere of a performance prepared by the creative team of the Baku Children’s Theatre based on the work of Jalil Mammadguluzade. The director is Konul Shahbazova-Gasimova, the production designer is Sevda Mammadov, and the musical designer is Rauf Huseynli.
An interesting production and acting, colorful decorations and fun musical arrangement were greeted with applause from children and teenagers.
On 28 January, 2019, the Ministry of Culture of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers organized the presentation of the book “Pages of Life”, dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the outstanding director, actor, theatre expert, People’s Artist of the USSR Mehdi Mammadov.
On 20 November, 2017, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan organized an event entitled as “Two friends”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding theatre persons Zafar Nematov and Hasan Hagverdiyev.
On 15-16 November, 2017, with the support of the ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO office (organization in the Russian Federation for relations with compatriots living abroad and international humanitarian cooperation) in Azerbaijan, the Union of Theatre Workers, there were presented the performances “Petersburg Apartments” (Fedor Koni) and “Farewell, compere!”(Grigoriy Gorin) of “Art”St. Petersburg State Musical Theatre.
The Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the country’s theatre association made a statement to the world community, in which they expressed their negative attitude to the shelling by the Armenian armed forces of the civilian population living in the village of Alkhanly of the Fizuli region of Azerbaijan.
On 25May, 2017, the monogram of Rovshan Agayev’s “The End of the Ending” premiered on the stage of Mustafa Mardanov of the Union of Theatre Workers. The premiere was attended by famous artists, intellectuals and media.
On 10 March, 2017, on the occasion of the National Theatre Day, an event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Theatre Workers, prominent artists, intellectuals and media. A photo exhibition and a video clip on the development of the Azerbaijan Theatre were demonstrated at the event.
On 10 March, 2017, on the National Theatre Day, there was held a scientific-practical conference “TIME AND THEATRE”.
On 19 December, 2016, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan held a presentation of the book “Pages of Life”, dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the outstanding actress Nasiba Zeynalova, and telling about the life and work of the actress. Famous artists, intellectuals and the media took part in the event of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan.
19 December, 2016 with the organization of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan on the stage of Mustafa Mardanov of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, there took place a premiere of the play “Chairs”, staged after the work of Eugene Ionesco.
On 18 October, 2016, in the hall of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, the performance of “Dream about Rain” of the Moscow Children's Musical Theatre was shown at the organization of the representative office of the International Agency for Humanitarian Cooperation “Rossotrudnichestvo”, the Department of Culture of Moscow and the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan.
15 June, 2016 on the Mustafa Mardanov stage of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan with the financial support of the Youth Foundation under the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, the organization of the Public Association “Youth Friendship Network”, with the support of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan and the Humanitarian Gymnasium named after Seyid Jafar Pishavari was played the first performance in the framework of the project “National Value”.
On 30 April, 2015, the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan presented the book “Pages of Life” dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the first ballet actress of Azerbaijan, one of the founders of the national ballet school, People’s Artist of the USSR, State Prize Laureate, Gemer Hajiaga gyzy Almaszade.

On 27 October, 2014 at 14.00, the presentation of the audio disc “Barat is a sweet fairy tale ...” dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the great actress, People’s Artist of the Republic, Barat khanum Shekinskaya took place at the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan.
On 10 October, 2014 the presentation of the book, dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the People’s Writer, Ilyas Efendiyev, took place in the Union of Theatre Workers.
